UGC NET June 2020 Exam is now conducted by NTA (National Testing Agency) on behalf of UGC twice in a year. UGC NET is an online mode which is a Computer Based Test (CBT) including of two papers i.e., Paper-1 and Paper-2. NTA UGC NET determines the candidate’s eligibility level for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor.

2. Financial assistance The fellows receive a monthly fellowship amount of up to INR 28,000 along with contingency grant, HRA and escort/reader assistance.
3. Eligibility
  • To get admitted/registered in M.Phil/PhD, a candidate needs to qualify NET JRF. And, the eligibility conditions for appearing for NET JRF exam are as follows:
  • The applicants who have obtained master’s degree or equivalent with 55% marks are eligible for NET JRF. The candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for 5% relaxation in the marks.
  • The upper age limit is 30 years for the award of JRF (NET), which is relaxed up to 5 years for SC/ST/PWD/female candidates and 3 years for OBC category candidates.
